An Orthopedic surgeon for thirteen years before entering the legal profession, Dr. Phillips focuses his law practice on orthopaedic medical device product liability,cases. For the past two years the majority of Dr. Phillips's work has centered on hip replacement devices with alternate bearings (metal-on-metal; ceramic-on-ceramic and ceramic-on-metal). The current focus of Dr. Phillips work is on metal-on-metal (MOM) hip replacement and hip implants with large diameter heads (LDH) and neck/taper modular junction problems.
